The website devoted to preserving the history of Australian wrestling.

We're in the process of renovating and moving some things around so some things may look a little strange but the aim is to minimise disruption.

This website was designed in 2012 with a scope of covering present and past wrestling in Australia.
The scope will change to prioritise the older stuff and make that a bit more accessible.

Born and raised in Iraq. Moved to America in the 50s and debuted in Oklahoma after a successful amateur career. Wrestled in Pacific Northwest during the 60s, interspersed with visits to Australia. Defeated Ray Stevens for the IWA World title in Melbourne in 1967, holding it for 3 months before losing it to Killer Kowalski. Also won the Australian Hwt title, which was abandoned when Billy won the world title.

Went to WWWF in 1975, teaming with Chief Jay Strongbow to win the WWWF tag titles. After undergoing neck surgery, went back to Iraq to introduce professional wrestling there. Although he was a classmate of Saddam Hussein, Hussein viewed his presence with suspicion, and he never ventured back there again. Went to AWA in 1981, as Sheik Adnan al-Kaissie. Firstly teamed with Jerry Blackwell, then retired from in-ring action and acted as a manager to Blackwell and Ken Patera, among others.

When AWA folded, he went back to WWF as “General Adnan”, managing Sgt Slaughter to the WWF title, as well as managing Iron Sheik (as “Col. Mustafa”). Left WWF in 1992, and started World Allstar Wrestling Alliance with Ken Patera.
